Everything Happens for a Reason

If you have ever called up to In The Zone during the week, you most likely talked to the grandfather of the business. His name is Robert and he is my dad. When he was 13 he had polio in one of his legs. He was a very athletic child growing up. He couldn't play baseball anymore but he found a way to be around the sport he loves. In high school he was the sports manager and washed uniforms and served others however he could. He always told me things don't happen by chance but for a reason. I grew up believing this - "Everything happens for a reason!"

Now that I am an adult and have seen lots of things happen I remember those words of my dad - "Everything happens for a reason!" In The Zone didn't happen by chance, it happen for a reason. My husband and I had other careers but had inflatables to rent on the side for extra income. We almost sold the inflatables because it was hard to keep up the deliveries with our other jobs. Well God had other plans. Some circumstances that were out of our control forced us into branching out on our own. And In The Zone - the indoor part was born in August 2010. Without the circumstances that God allowed to happen, we wouldn't have In The Zone and we wouldn't be meeting the wonderful people that come into our building.

In The Zone is not just a job but it is an open door to meet and talk with families in our community. What wonderful stories and testimonies we get to hear! We get to share in the celebration of children's birthdays! We see In The Zone as a mission field. A field to get to hear about joys and hardships of families that live in our community. We get to pray for these people. We are not just here by chance but for a reason. Everyday my eyes are open for my purpose as an owner of In The Zone.

My dad has retired and now joins me at In The Zone. He retired because his "good" leg got a pinched nerve about a year ago. Now he has two legs that are disabled and can not walk without assistance. It was hard for him to continue his fulltime career. But he doesn't need two good legs to help me at In The Zone. Just as he found a way to be around the sport that he loved after getting polio, he found a way to be involved in his community, family and still help out and serve others. He is a tremendous help to me at work. If you ever call In The Zone and get to talk to my dad, Robert, just know it is not by chance - "Everything happens for a reason."

Now here is a cute video advertising In The Zone in honor of my dad Robert.
